The ink is past its expiration date, but the ink I used this before this one did the same thing. Of course, that ink could have also been expired. My printer is one of those ancient ones that you have to manually feed paper to. Can anyone figure out if the strange color is because of the printer or the ink?

Internet research seems to produce the following:
-Casio and TDK make thermal printers that can print only appx 16 lines. As most CDs average about 20 tracks, this seems dumb!
-Other thermal CD printers may allow for more lines to be printed but seem poor for reliability from user reviews.
-Epson inkjet printers may take a long time to dry, upto 24 hrs according to some users. Any comments on this?
-I have read nothing bad about the Canon iP4200, but would be interested in peoples’ experiences…good or bad.
-Lexmark seem not to make a printer with CD printing? Seems strange, but I couldn’t find mention on their website.

Would appreciate any other thoughts you have on this as well!
Some people also say that the tray for printing CDs in the Epson is flimsy. Others report no problems. Perhaps a problem now resolved? Any experiences?
