<p>Since switching from Windows XP to Ubuntu Linux (about three months ago), it&#8217;s been acting strangely. </p>
<p>It will print a job &#8211; maybe two &#8211; and then refuse to print more, giving me an error like &#8220;this printer doesn&#8217;t seem to be connected,&#8221; or something like that. I have to reboot to get it to reset and print another job. Yes, I did try reconnecting the printer cable, no dice. It will also print out an extra empty page at the end of every print job, and every time I reconnect it to its power source, it prints out a test page. (Weird?)</p>
<p>Is there some patch available that I could get that would fix this, or is it simply a problem with the printer itself?<br />
