what are the materials needed to refill ink in HP printers?

I am looking for things needed to be able to refill my cartridge in my printer. Of course i already know what type of ink I will use. I was just wondering what chemical to put in the lid where ink comes out so the dried inks can be wiped out. When I was in INKTEC, I saw the sales lady put on some kind of white liquid in the lid of my cartridge and presto the black inks that are dried are now dissolved. I really need to know what chemical is that.. is it water? alcohol?

What’s the best way to get rid of this old broken inkjet printer?

It’s one of those HP combo units but it’s stuck/ jammed and I’ve tried everything on the website to fix it, no luck, so it won’t do anything except beep now. I already have a replacement, and it’s too cheap to be worth repairing. Just toss it? I hate to do that. Ideas?

What would cause faded/washed out photo copies using a Kodak AI0 5300 printer? (cartridges are new)?

Kodak 5300 printer is producing photo copies that are faded, not true to original colors. I replaced the ink cartridges two weeks ago, so it has plenty of ink. I also used the cleaning option to try and correct the problem.Submited by:AAGI

I have a Lexmark printer. I have the installation disk as well. I ran the setup and supposedly is was installed. However, when I tried to print, I was unable to do so. Why is it so hard for me to hook up this printer?
